We've had a slight change in plans due to a challenging week. As the time to move from this house gets ever closer and having no satisfaction from agents in Ballarat, we've made the decision to rent here in Warragul for 3-6 months and take our time to find somewhere to buy in the Ballarat area. Moving twice and paying rent hadn't come into the equation, but we are both exhausted and have to move by next weekend. The funny thing is that here we were able to view 6 rental properties in one afternoon, by just ringing around and popping into the agents, whereas in Ballarat it was a mammoth task ringing, trying to get appointments and being told to use the i'net, only to be told most weren't available as they had already gone. Nobody seemed helpful and we've wasted a lot of time and petrol driving over to view just one house for rent. "Ridiculous".
We still intend to relocate over that way to be closer to DD, but probably early next year and find an agent that is really good.
Enough of my whinging and will show a couple of garden photos I took before our heavy rain over the last few days. No craft photos at the moment as everything is already packed away and goodness knows when I will sew again. I will one day!!!! I'll keep my camera out and handy.
A lovely iris |
Gerbera doing well |
Deep red rose with the most heavenly perfume |
Bright pink rose with silver backed petals |
Pierre de Ronsard now out. Many more buds to open. Will try for another photo before we leave of it on a bright day. |
Take care all and have a great weekend.
Susan.
All the best with your move, pity you couldn't just do it the once though. Love your Pierre de Ronsard, mine had it's first flower this week, and we have had lots of rain also.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny seeing irises and daisies in your garden while here the mums are in bloom and the leaves blowing about. Good luck with your house hunting. Hope it becomes a bit more relaxing.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely, Susan. It brings a ray of sunshine to my dull, dreary, pouring-rainy day. :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry it's all proving such a hassle for you, but hopefully doing it this way will give you the breathing space to find the perfect home.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a very sensible solution. You'll be able to take your time and not rush things. You want to make sure that your next property is just right for you, so you'll have time to suss everything out properly now instead of rushing in to something because you have to. Hope your first move goes smoothly.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I agree with Jo, renting sounds a good option.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is full of beautiful flowers!
Oh Susan, what a fiasco. I'm sure in a few weeks you will look back on this and laugh. They say moving is one of the most traumatic things. I certainly believe it. I hope you find a rental property soon without too much more hassle. Concentrate on positive things. I love your roses. Take care. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a nightmare for you. So much extra stress during an already stressful time, but i guess everything happens for a reason and I think this is the best solution. Take care. x
ReplyDeleteAh moving... well at least if you rent you are giving your self time to find what is going to be right for you. The flowers look nice, we have had 2 days in a row of sunshine with out any rain! Feels good. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we did our big move we rented between houses. It made everything much easier and simpler.
