Linking today with our new hostess Astrid at Dragon Stitches and Stuff.
Today we are kicking off April with chocolate.................it must be Easter, but today is also our wedding anniversary, though not much chocolate appears here these days via the bunny.
Here we go and hopefully I've thought outside the box. I did have visions of getting photos of a chocolate Bilby or Platypus, a couple of our confections that are truly Australian with money raised to care & protect our endangered species. Never mind as I'm still joining in.
Playing with a selection of items featuring chocolate, being a cookbook, a quilt book, a bar of cooking chocolate, fabric with the words chocolate all over & an old tin saved from many years ago that had Old Baileys chocolates in it. Looks good full of foliage & a camellia, which has just started flowering. And homemade Chocolate Orange Mousse, which has actually appeared on my blog before. Not made it for a while, so may remedy that in the coming weeks.
Again I'm doing short and sweet, but enjoyed finding all my "CHOCOLATEY" bits which was part of the challenge for today.😏
I'm off to linkup now, and will pop into the other Hunter's blogs a little later tonight. Thanks Astrid for taking this on. Take care all, stay safe & hugs from down under.
Susan.
Happy Anniversary to you both. Love your chocolatey photos and the mousse look delicious. Here's wishing you a very Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen & Happy Easter to you too.
DeleteLove the look of the chocolate mousse. Glad you joined in. I think I ate all my cooking chocolate last year..... x
ReplyDeleteThanks M. The mousse is very tasty & the book it is made from is quite an age now. I've quite a few regular recipes that use cooking chocolate, so usually have some on hand.
DeleteI agree with the others - that mousse looks delicious. Happy Anniversary to you both. How many years?? You have certainly thought outside the box. Lovely selection of chocolatey things. Keep well. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. Funny how when I thought about it, I kept thinking of something else with a chocolate theme, even the fabric.
DeleteHappy Anniversary Susan :) The chocolate mousse looks divine, can you send some over here please? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Eunice. We try not to indulge in dessert very often, though K is partial to ice cream.
DeleteHappy anniversary, you'll have to make yourselves a chocolate mousse to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate. The day passed in a bit of a blur, due to it being warmer than usual for this time of year. Reached 32 degrees.
DeleteHappy Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteChocolate Orange Mousse ... very yummy :)
All the best Jan
Happy Anniversary. Oooh, that mousse looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo. I might even pop the recipe on the blog.
DeleteHappy anniversary and happy Easter. Your mousse looks a real treat. Not much warmth here today ... will packing blankets for our BBQ get together later 😃
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. Going to be cooler here today (Sunday)too. Not sure what we'll be doing as we try & avoid doing much on public holidays to miss the crowds.
DeleteI know what you mean about public holidays ... we always stay pretty close to home or a friends garden ... we aren’t keen on crowds either .... even pre-COVID 😃
DeleteThanks for joining in on the hunt for chocolate, your quilt book is definitely unique! OMGoodness, chocolate orange mousse... do you have the recipe to share?
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely anniversary, even without chocolate!
Thanks Astrid & I'll pop the recipe through via email if you'd like.
DeleteBelated happy anniversary Susan - lovely selection of pics - the chocolate orange mousse looks wonderful xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Fil & I've just thought I may put that recipe on my blog post next Friday along with our hunt word.
DeleteBelated Happy Anniversary
