AUGUST SCAVENGER PHOTO HUNT.

First, before I start on the above, I'd like to thank all who commented on my last post and sorry I did not reply, but was very busy and appreciated them.  So here we go.

This month has not been easy for photo-hunting, but as I enjoy it so much, I love to join in.  I find it challenging and  all very thought provoking as to how to interpret some words without it being the obvious choice.  Hope this published OK as I've done it before we went away.
1.  BLUE.

Forget-me-nots just starting to flower.
2.  EYE.

Bull's eye.  Hubby got this one straight off last week.  I don't do nearly as good.

3.  BUTTON.

Pretty buttons on a doll I made many years ago.
4.  FAVOURITE.

My granddaughter Missy Moo, used to love this photo of Hubby & his girlfriend.  She asked who the lady was, and we jokingly told her it was his girlfriend, to which she replied, she isn''t "real".

5.  FEET.

Where are they going?
Where have they been?
Who do they belong to?
6. GLASS.

A large perfume bottle (no, I don't use it), bought in Berry on the NSW south coast where I worked in the bank at one time.
There was a handmade glass shop across the road and I just couldn't resist this as it is so gorgeous.
It was a drawcard at times, but I resisted all but twice.

7.  GREEN.

Road signs in GREEN!
I thought this might be a giggle with some of our funny town names.
They are all in our area of Victoria.
8.  FLOOR.

Beautiful parquet at Castle Howard in Yorkshire.  I took this photo in 2014, as I thought it could make a good quilt block pattern.

9.  KNITTED/CROCHETED.

The cupcake rug from Attic 24 coming along slowly.

10. MY OWN CHOICE.

I found this utterly awesome.  A crane manoeuvreing a narrow boat onto the canal marina at Stanley Ferry.  Notice the pushbike on the end.  You may have to click to enlarge.  (trip to UK in 2014).
OK, that is my lot for this month.
Enjoy, take care and September will with us before we know it.  Ah, Spring.
Susan.

    1. Thanks Hawthorn and I find everyone can give different meanings to the words. My granddaughter gave me a list to show you of words she thought would be good too. Must tell you what they are.

  4. Another interesting interpretation of Hawthorn's list. Why didn't I think of feet? We have loads in our fields.... Whilst I do like Attic 24 and her blog/crochet work, I think I will choose your canal boat levitating. I just love to see heavy equipment moving stuff around!

    1. Thanks. I thought your feet were great and wished I'd thought of it (I have enough with my Bernina). Funny how the canal boat levitating is being liked so much.

  5. Love those place names. Giving instructions must be fun!! I love your cupcake rug - the colours are delicious. Real icing colours. All the details in the canal boat picture make it my favourite. Each time I look at it I see something different going on. x

    1. Thank you. I must admit some of our town names are strange, but then I look at maps for other countries and we are not alone.

    1. I remembered when I was putting that photo on that you lived there many years ago. Yes we enjoying now that the jetlag is abating and just revisiting some familiar places until we finish this first bit of housesitting. Hope you enjoy your break in mid September too.

    1. Thanks Jo. Must admit that some of the Welsh names look so unpronounceable, but I suppose it's because I only speak English or maybe that should be Australian(giggle).

  11. I love your pics - we saw the sign for Koo Wee Rup when we were down your way in March - I loved the Australian place names and was trying to catch enough of them to do a post but I think I asked hubby to slow down once too often lol And the glass bottle is exquisite. A great look at life.
