DAY 24
A familiar sign here in Oz. Outside a MacDonalds. |
Two more bits, that I think are a typical way we celebrate here in Oz.
What a typical backyard would have looked like as I was growing up. The rotary clothes hoist, cockatoos screeching, the cricket all set up, the good old paling fence and a very blue sky. |
AN AUSSIE CHRISTMAS.
BEER FOR SANTA OR MILK & MINCE TART, CARROTS for REINDEER,
FLIES, FLIES,

Have a wonderful Christmas, take care and sending lots of huggles your way.

Thank you & thanks also for letting me be part of the advent calendar.
DeleteNot silly at all, interesting and fun because it made me think what 'Christmas' might be like on the other side of our small lump of rock.
ReplyDeleteTake care, hope you enjoy the day at DD. J, xx
Thank you. Had a lovely day and got home very late, as we watched a Xmas movie (Lampoon's Xmas), which the grandkids had never seen (too young before now) & they thought it hilarious, so that made us all laugh a lot too. Hope you had a good one & kept warm. Take care.
DeleteMerry Christmas! Your Aussie festive celebrations make me think of ours when I was younger! Now the wind is hoooooowling round the house and I'm in 'recovery'mode after delish meal at my mom's, they will be here later today (typing this at 5.18am) for lunch and pressie exchange, hope you and Keith have a lovely day xxxxx
ReplyDeleteMerry Xmas to you, although you are just finishing up for the day. Sounds funny, but we were hunkered down inside too, with the cooler on at DD's. It was again stinking hot withe temperature in the very high 30's. As above, it was a lovely day, where I played some board games with kids, cuddled kittens, did a bit in the kitchen and helped 9 year old Missy Moo set up her new sewing machine (a real one), which her parents gave her. Wish I lived closer to sew with her, but I did teach DD to sew, so Mum can help anyway. Take care & hope the day was a good one.
DeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you and yours all the very best for 2017.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo, same to you & yours.
