OUR MARCH HOLIDAY.

 As we had appointments for young brother in March we decided to make it a holiday as well.  We'd seen a brochure on the Snowy Valley Sculpture Trail and decided to include it in our time away.  Also, I think I may have said in a recent post that my uncle was having his 100th birthday party too.  We spent the first 2 nights in Gundagai, a town on the Hume Highway in N.S.W. as it was close to the trail we wanted to explore.  Oh, there was so much to see, so this post may be a bit photo heavy and only a bit of what we explored.  There will be a few more posts.

This could be a rather fun event, so we may keep the date in mind.
It was a sign near the lovely old timber rail bridge you can just see in the background at Gundagai.

First stop was a small town called Adelong which we know well.  I forgot to mention that we actually lived in this area between 1980 and 1986 after we lost our business.

Next town we visited was actually where we lived.  In the photo below is an APPLE way off in a paddock.  There used to be one close to the road, but they suffered terrible bush fires a few years back and it was destroyed and someone popped one here.

And now here is a very large apple peeler.
There were many apple orchards and other fruit grown here.
Still is, though we didn't think quite as many.

OK, enough from me today, but as I said earlier there will be more to come and again, they will be photo heavy.

Having a lot of trouble typing due to very painful chilblains at the moment due to the cold weather.
