Hope the weather was lovely in Yorkshire to celebrate your special day. I meant to post this last night so it was ready for the morning of 1st of August, but I was so tired I didn't get to the computer.
A couple of photos from our previous trips to God's Own County.
Whitby Abbey.
Saltaire
Bingley Five Rise
Looking out from the Cow and Calf.
That was just a quick post for my Yorkshire blogging buddies.
Susan.
Thanks Susan for the photos. I must admit I didn't even realise it was Yorkshire day yesterday, but maybe that's cos I'm not from Yorkshire, even tho I've lived here for 13 years now?
Yorkshire is one of my favourite places to visit. It's not too far from Scotland! :o)
Thanks for thinking of me for giving me some of your scraps, Susan. If you get an e-mail when this comment is posted, my e-mail address will be at the top of that.
I've been to Whitby (and been harassed by the seagulls for my fish and chips!) - and particularly enjoyed the steam trains on the North Yorks Moor Railway - utterly delightful.
That was lovely Susan! I love it here in Yorkshire and even though I live on the outskirts of a city you dont have to drive far to be out in the beautiful countryside. All those places you have pictured are amazing. Did you see my blog post when we visited the 5 rise locks last year? They drained it to replace the lock gates and you could actually go down into the empty locks. We walked down them all and it was amazing to do it.XX
